Planting flowers ~ A photostory

Did you guys ever make photo stories with your dolls? I know that I used to heaps. It was so much fun because I could really have a good time thinking up story lines and having my dolls portray them!  I sadly haven't in a long time so I decided to change that! So whilst I was planting the first plants into my new flower garden I'm creating, Natalie and Josefina decided to help out :) 

Howdy folks! Natalie here! I'm planting some flowers in my garden. Sadly Adelaide didn't want to help. She said there were too many bugs in the ground for her liking.. Bianca and Claire were out and I couldn't find anyone else to help me..

"I'll help you! I love planting flowers!" Josefina walked over to me. "Studying plants is one of my favourite things to do! And planting them in my free time is just the perfect way to relax!" She gave me a big smile.

"Oh that you so much Josefina! I needed an extra hand!"

"Ok why don't you dig and I'll place the flowers in the holes." I handed her a shovel.

"Right ho!" Josefina laughed and began to dig.

"Perfect!" I said as a patted down the soil. "Now we gotta plant the rest!"

A few plants later.....

"Ah this deserves a great tea break! Thanks for helping me Josefina!" 

She grinned. "No worries Natalie! Any time!!"

                            

Do you like planting flowers? I can't wait until our flower garden is full of beautiful flowers.

That was fun, bringing my dolls out and not worrying that the pictures weren't super great but just having a good time :) Hopefully when I've planted more flowers and they've grown a bit I can take photos with them!! YES! I love flowers and photos :)

Pups & Princesses

Howdy everyone! So I decided to merge 2 quite different, separate photoshoots (small ones don't panic!!) Into one :)

So the first set of photos are some of my newest mini lalaloospy member :-) 

                             

What I love about taking photos of mini lalaloopsy or any small toy/doll is that I can just slip them in my pocket and don't have to carry round a bag or anything! So easy, these were taken on a walk with my fam :)

Next I was experimenting with a setting on my camera and trying to capture some of my dogs in action! 

Firstly this is Sue she is a 'Hungarian Vizsla'.  She is very sweet and posed for the camera quite nicely:) 

On the other hand this is Kevin. He's a Pomeranian cross Chihuahua. He can be so annoying barking at anything that moves but then he can be a right sweetheart snuggling on your lap :D

This picture just describes their friendship so much. They will always be running together, Kevin watching Sue and her every move so that he can follow her. And Sue will just run cos she can! 

The sun on Sue's coat makes her such a lovely colour!

My birthday gift from my sister :)

Hiya guys! In my last post I hinted that my sister got me a birthday present, well she got me CEDAR WOOD!! An awesome Ever After High doll :) In my local toy store they only sell the original characters; Raven,Apple,Maddie,Cupid,Goldie,Briar. And only the first wave. So when we went down to Christchurch I was so amazed to see Cedar! She is such a cool character!! My sister gave me some money to spend so technically I got her but it was my sisters money.. if that makes sense... 

She still has her box hair but I'm gonna curl it this week :-) I've been a bit pre-occupied you could say... I made a point of taking pics of her next to trees, cos Cedar Wood.. trees..wood.. Ok you get it! 

Here are just some behind the scene shots! This is a forest walk that my family love to walk on :) It's so pretty and it's normally where I take my foresty type pics :-) 

Hope you liked the pics! I was having trouble with the sun like flaring on my lense and making the photo like whiter. Mmm oh well! I'll show you when I've sorted the hair out and made her look even more beautiful!! :)

Disney on Ice and my first sight of snow!!

Hello lovelies! Ok so on last Friday my family travelled down to Christchurch to go see Disney On Ice!! Oh it was such an amazing experience! But we'll talk about that later in the post, I also have some more exciting news! When were driving down it was so cold, we were in blankets and coats chattering our teeth all the way. As we were driving through the Lewis Pass it started to rain and then the rain turned into sleet. And then it was full blown snowing!!! I've never seen snow like this before only at a ski field (once when i was 5/6). You could say that I have seen snow before but it's different seeing it falling from the sky and onto the grass outside your car than just sitting on a mountain! I was so shocked I stuck my head out the window and nearly froze my nose off but it was so worth it! Catching snowflakes and seeing tree branches just coated in snow was magnificent! It doesn't snow where i live so it was such an awesome sight to see the snow :-) I managed to take a few pics before my phone ran out of battery :D 

Once we arrived in Christchurch we went to a mall where my sister got me my birthday present!! (I'll have a post up soon about her *hint hint*) The next day we went to the show!!

I had this toddler who was sitting behind me and was fiddling with my hair, lol it was funny but she stopped as soon has the show started! I didn't take photos throughout the show because I really wanted to give my whole attention to the show and soak up every second of it! But I did get a programme for my programme collection. I get programmes for every show/musical I go to. Sometimes friends who go to Broadway or West End bring me back programmes >.<

First I got this Disney On Ice bag which i thought was cute ;-)

Ok so this is the front of the programme. it's quite big A3. (If you guys measure paper that way..) Can you see the skates on Rapunzel! >.<

 Minnie.Mickey,Goofy and Donald introduced each story and did a little act which was cool! I loved Minnie's outfit!!  

The first, well it wasn't a story it was just a song for Tiana. It was a New Orleans song a medley of the songs from the movie including 'Dig a little Deeper!" and you saw Tiana in her pretty blue dress and Prince Naveen ;) Tiana wasn't in the dress in the pic above.  

For Snow White they actually showed her whole story which was cool, the 7 dwarfs were funny :0 Also the beautiful duet at the end with the prince was so beautiful! 

Cinderella was really cool they did some great costume changes like when her step sisters rip her pink dress to rags etc.. And she had SPARKLY SKATES!!! WHAT?!??!?! 

The dance at the ball for those two was probably my favourite duet from the whole show. Because it was a great song and the atmosphere was so pretty. Hard explain but yeah.. 

And the last story was Rapunzel (Tangled). So it was so cool they did some incredible ariel acrobatics!! Like 12 feet off the floor! In the programme it said the actors had to train for 6 weeks to build the upper body strength to achieve the moves! I wish I got it on camera! They had no harnesses and were just holding onto the material! It was so pretty and they did a cool wig swap for when Flynn cuts her hair!

And the grand finale was so lovely because you got to see all the Disney princesses and their princes come out and celebrate Rapunzel's coronation ;)

And with the programme I got a nice flower! I haven't opened it yet because I want to get a nice vase to put it in. (It's a plastic one >.<)

So overall I had a absolute fantastic time! It was so inspiring to see all the princesses! It made me want to ice-skate! Sadly we don't have a rink in town but I may take up rollar skating once I get well again which is exciting :) I love the magic of Disney so much! Like who couldn't?! Just being able to be transported out of your seat and into this beautiful world of magic and dreams coming true! It was just.. Ahh I can't out it into words :D 

I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience! Please I'm not bragging about going to see Disney on Ice. It was every member of my families birthday present so we didn't get very much from our parents :-) I have a few posts lined up for you guys :) Including a few more dolls joining the DollyFernFriends community :D

Updates :)

Hello lovelies! ok so I just wanted to post because I've had of things come up in my life at the moment and I wanted to just talk to you guys :) So first up at the very start of the year I started getting very tired and had to miss a bit of school because I was just so tired and had to sleep, though after I slept I didn't feel rested at all. Then after a few months I started to get headaches that have increasingly gotten worse, then the dizziness started and it's just like BLAH!! So I'm a bit of a train-wreck at the moment, we've seen doctors and have had scans, I was admitted into hospital overnight. But we don't really know what's going on ;/ I haven't really been at school lately so I'm starting something called health school. It's where I do just enough school work to pass the year and it's at home. It's only temporary, until the end of the term (September). So yeah that's quite crazy, i miss my friends but I try go in once a week to school for a day :) 

Next up, it was my 15th birthday on the 26th of July :-) I was feeling quite tired but my friends came over and we just had food and presents :) I got some Marvel t-shirts that I wear constantly. And one of my friends got me a top from America!! And it's bright orange! Two of my favourite things!! ^.^ Also I didn't get much from my folks because next week we are travelling down to Christchurch to go see Disney on Ice!! Oh my golly gosh I'm so pumped, i'll tell you guys all about it when I come back ;0 And I have some exciting that conquers all exciting news (well for me it does) but I'm going to leave you hanging and save it for a bit :D

So I may not be able to post as often or comment on your blogs, I will try my hardest to take pictures but I can never really determine how I'll feel that day

Now, if you guys read my last post I made a tutorial on how to get these fantastic curls on your doll and at the end of the video i had some pics. For the ones who didn't watch the video here they are :) 

 People have suggested that her name be Bianca and I think that name suits her very much, but well one of my friends is called Bianca and it would be kinda awkward if she found out that one of my dolls has the same name as her. Mmm oh well if she asks what name she has, I'll make a random name up! Do any of your dolls have the same name as any of your friends?

How to curl your dolls hair tutorial :-)

Hi everyone! So in my last post  you guys were interested in learning how to create the curls that Claire has :D So I attempted to make a video/tutorial for you guys! It was weird doing it infront of a camera because I had to be like conscious where my hands were etc.. But I hope I did an OK for my 1st (well technically 2nd, I explain in the vid) time filming! I would love to see if you guys create this cool look :-) Just leave a link to the post if you do one and I'll check it out!

So i found this doll stuffed in a box in my younger sister's room a few days ago and I really wanted to jazz her up!! I think she looks so cool now, see the end of the video for some pics!! Also I now need a name for her!! I want her to be classy and kind of like a diva!

Also so tomorrow it's my birthday!!!! Woo hoo I'm turning 15 :) Wow I do not feel 15 years old! For everyones birthday (in my family) we are going down to see DISNEY ON ICE!!! I'm so excited!! It's insane, I'll try take some pictures while I'm there :)
